Oregon ranks #3 nationwide for volunteering

Volunteerism around the nation has reached record numbers totaling nearly 6.9 billion in donated hours – yes, billion with a B – according to the 2018 Volunteering in America report announcing Utah, Minnesota and Oregon with the highest rate of volunteering. 

“Just a couple hours a month can make a huge difference for someone who needs a ride to the doctor, help with paying bills, or is in need of food – the gift of volunteering could save a life, and is life-changing and heartwarming for all involved,” said Wendy Hays, Volunteer Connections RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) Coordinator at Clackamas County Social Services.
