Water Environment Services accepting grant proposals up to $30,000 for watershed improvement The application period for the 2019 RiverHealth Stewardship Program grants, administered by Clackamas County Water Environment Services (WES), is now open. Grants of up to $30,000 are available to groups within the Portland metropolitan area who seek to improve the health of watersheds located within the surface water areas served by WES. Community groups, businesses, schools, nonprofits, student groups, faith organizations, neighborhood or business associations, and service groups are welcome to apply. OC Farmers Market

OC Farmers Market Located at the corner of Beavercreek and Kaen Roads at the Clackamas County Red Soils campus in the heart of Oregon City, the  year-round Farmers Market  is a showcase for local growers, farmers, ranchers, bakers, artisan food businesses, wineries, distilleries, cideries, breweries, and crafters.  The Market also offers hot food and drinks, live music, and kids activities every market day throughout the year. During the summer local chefs demo recipes using seasonal produce, meats and seafood and monthly events entertain the whole family.  Parking is close and plentiful, with good access for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. While we love dogs, only service dogs are allowed within the market site.  The Winter Market runs every other Saturday, 10am-2pm, November 3rd through April 27th 2019 with approximately 30-40 vendors. Vehicle registration fee approved by Clackamas County Board; Will help meet local transportation needs The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners has approved an ordinance setting a $30 per year countywide vehicle registration fee (VRF). The action followed a second public hearing Thursday. The VRF will apply to cars, pick-up trucks, vans and other passenger vehicles registered in Clackamas County. The fee for motorcycles will be $15 per year. Since Oregonians pay vehicle registration fees two years at a time, that is a potential increase of $60 every two years for most motorists and $30 every two years for motorcyclists.   By state law, the fee will not apply to the following vehicles: ·     Registered farm vehicles ·     Travel trailers, campers and motor homes ·     Heavy trucks (whic...
