Affordable Housing and
Services Fund awards announced

Commissioners have announced the recipients of $623,000 in affordable housing and services grants. This is the first year the county has offered these critical funds to help local partners provide housing and services to our most vulnerable populations.

Some of this year’s recipients include organizations using the money to assist with:

·    emergency transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence;

·    help with security deposits and initial rent for homeless families and individuals;

·    enhancing shower and laundry services for people experiencing homelessness; and

·    establishing peer support services for Housing Authority residents in need of mental health or addictions support.
